3rd Singapore - Brunei Student Leaders Adventure Camp 2009

The Brunei-Singapore Student Leader Adventure Camp programme was one of the programme under the agreement between Ministry of Education of Brunei Darussalam and Ministry of Education of Singapore.

This programme is hosted alternately between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore and was first started in 2007. The first Brunei-Singapore Student Leader Adventure Camp programme was held in Singapore and the second programme was hosted by Brunei Darussalam.

This year is Singapore's turn to host Brunei Darussalam. The programme was designed for five days which commenced on the 14th December 2009 and ended on 18th December 2009. This programme aims at:

• Promoting understanding, collaboration and bonding between students from Brunei Darussalam and Singapore through various activities involving cross cultural learning, outdoors adventure, team-building games and live-in experience.
• Educating students on the need to conserve the natural environment to preserve its biodiversity and the need to preserve the cultural heritage of one's country.
• Building leadership skills among participants involved.
• Developing the participant's skills in problem solving, teamwork and creativity.

There were 20 Bruneian students who participated in this programme including 4 chaperones from 12 different schools. The 20 students who participated in this programme were are follows:

• Khairul Izzul bin Zaini from Sayyidina Ali Secondary School.
• Muhammad Faiz Hidayat bin Suhaini and Ummi Wahab binti Rayali from Anthony Abell College.
• Muhammad Aziz Azizan bin Mat Dayang and Siti Nur Hamizah Al-Ghazi Saufi binti Haji Muhammad Bakar from Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School.
• Fadyl Bahrin @ Adyl bin Haji Ellmi and Ismah Nur Afifah binti Awang Idris from Science College.
• Awangku Muhammad Eddy Muqri bin Pengiran Mazalan and Naqqiyah Hana Qurratu'ain binti Muhammad Abdul Ghani Firdaus from Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Secondary School.
• Mohammad Hazim Zakaria bin Haji Zakaria from Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School.
• Najirien bin Juani from Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School.
• Muhammad Nabil Baihaqy bin Muhammad Suwarso from Perdana Wazir Secondary School.
• Wan Raifuddin bin Wan Sabli and Nadiah binti Haji Hassan from Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Secondary School.
• Nazurah binti Haji Mahli and Siti Nur Afiqah Izzati binti Idris from Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School.
• Nuraina Afiqah binti Muhammad Zain from Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri.
